| ITA Accepting Nominations for Seats on its Board of Directors The Nominating Committee of the Indoor Tanning Association is pleased to announce that the nomination period for seats on the ITA Board of Directors is now open. This year, with the addition of three Salon Sector seats and with one vacancy in the Equipment Manufacturing Sector, a total of nine seats will be up for election: two Equipment Seats; one Allied Products seat; one Distributor seat; one Lotion seat; and four Salon seats. In order to stagger the terms and have every seat on a three year cycle, here is how the election process will work. The newly elected directors in the Allied, Distributor and Lotion Sectors will serve a standard three year term beginning October 1, 2008 – September 30, 2011. For the Equipment Manufacturing seats, the candidate receiving the greatest vote total will serve a three year term, and the candidate coming in second will serve a two year term. For the four Salon seats, the top two candidates serve three years, the candidate garnering the third most votes will be elected for two years and the candidate with the fourth greatest total will serve a one-year term. If you would like to be nominated to run for a seat on the ITA Board of Directors, click here to download an application. Membership on the ITA Board of Directors requires a significant commitment in time, effort, and resources. Board Members are responsible for the management and operations of the ITA, and for fulfilling committee assignments associated with this effort. ITA Board Members are also responsible for travel and lodging expenses associated with at least four meetings each year. The following incumbent Board members three year terms expire on September 30, 2008 and have indicated their intentions to seek reelection: Allied: Jim Shepherd Distributor: Karen Bentlage Manufacturer: Greg Henson Salon: Dan Humiston Election Procedures To be eligible to be nominated to run for a seat on the ITA Board, candidates must fulfill the following requirements: a nominee must be a delegate of a member company in the ITA with dues current on July 1, 2008 from the membership sector to which he/she is seeking nomination. The executed application should include information about the nominee’s business, how long the nominee’s company has been in the industry, his/her involvement in previous industry activities, information regarding any other leadership experience outside of the indoor tanning industry (such as service on other boards etc.), and a photograph for posting on the website with candidate information. The completed application should be mailed to: ITA Nominations Committee Indoor Tanning Association 2025 M Street, NW Suite 800 Washington, DC 20036 By Fax to 202 367 2142 Or by email to Admin@theITA.com ELECTION TIMETABLE The ITA Election Process is as follows: July 23, 2008 -- Nomination Period Closes -- All nominations must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. EDST on Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Dan Humiston is running for reelection to his seat and I think he has earned our support for another term. In addition to being a representative for the Salon Owners Sector, Dan has served as President of the ITA for longer than I have been in this business. That leaves 3 open Salon Owner Sector seats to be filled. I have thought about running for a seat on the BoD for years. I have concluded that I am unable to commit the financial resources and time necessary to better represent my peers on the ITA BoD. I can't accept a nomination. My opinions on issues are well known to John Overstreet, Dan Humiston and other members of the BoD. I don't believe my vote on the BoD would hold any more influence than my voice. I spend a lot of time on Maryland state issues effecting indoor tanning and my influence there produces significant positive results. I am also committed to financially supporting the ITA and Berman's Campaign. I also am supporting Dan Humiston's election to Congress. I will support Ann for a seat on the ITA BoD. I think she would be a strong representative and advocate for Salon Owners. __________________ ObamaNation. Sing with the children. I actually am planning to nominate myself (there is a bio that has to be done so you really kind of have to do it yourself anyway I think). But I would love to have ANY and all support I can! The existing 3 salon owners are all multi-chain (30+ stores) long-time veterans. They are very good, and I would STRONGLY support any of their re-election. I am on my 5th year in my one salon with the second opening Labor Day (was supposed to be January, you know how that goes....). I am very interested in the industry, very active, have gone to all the open ITA Board meetings over the last year and think I can do a good job representing fellow salon owners. Luckily, although I will be running as a salon owner and representing salon owners, Highline is very supportive of my interest and will help defray some of the financial burden. Otherwise, like Jim, I would have to think twice. You can't vote unless you are an ITA member, so if you haven't joined yet, now is the perfect time! I believe you can only vote within the sector you are a member of, so I am counting on all of you salon owners! The ballots get sent in August. I'll have to see if they'll let me list myself as Ann Wiggins ("Sunsally") Noe so on-liners recognize me! __________________ Ann Wiggins Noe Highline Capital 877-422-4100 x 250 anoe@highlinecapital.com www.highlinecapital.com |

| Moderator/Arbonne VP | I'll vote for you Ann. I like how you've stepped up to the plate and gone to all of the meetings and done your best to keep the rest of us educated on what is going on with the ITA. I think you are perfect for the job and I also think that it will be nice to have someone that owns just one or two salons. That will add something good to the mix. __________________ ![]() Please talk to me if you would like to bring a great line of skin care into your salon. CLICK HERE to learn more. YES! Basically the "commitment" as I see it is this (and this is just my perception - I haven't asked yet to see how accurate it is): 1. 4 meetings/year, spread out around the country. One is in Nashville at the trade show. You are responsible for your travel, hotel, food, etc. 2. Committee work - depending on which one(s) you are on, this could be a few hours/week to more. There are only 18 board members to spread all the work across. Mostly email and phone I presume, but maybe occasional "in-person" meetings here too, or come early/stay late at one of the quarterly ones. 3. Outreach - perhaps helping out in legal battles, proactive with legislators, maybe press,... I know each of the current board members have also FREQUENTLY reached into their OWN - and/or their company - pockets for "extra support". Berman, the PAC, etc. This would be the biggest challenge for me - I've got plenty of enthusiasm and willingness to work - but not deep pockets! But I don't think it is "mandatory" - just something many of them have done in the past. __________________ Ann Wiggins Noe Highline Capital 877-422-4100 x 250 anoe@highlinecapital.com www.highlinecapital.com |

(not saying I agree or disagree...) |

| Moderator | Thank you Kathe. Well not to put it the way Jeff did but for sure they do NOT want anyone rocking their boat. I do know at one time if you were a board member you were not allowed to post on line. Fact or just a rumor I do not know. I respect anyone who wants to put their self through the process. All I can say is good luck with all of that. |
