Default July

July is better than June! First time in 10 years that has happen. Although June was decent, it was down for us.

We were having our best year ever thru May. Glad to see July is doing good.

Congrats! Not going as bad as I expected for me...granted each day is different. Still paying the bills and that is all that matters right now.

Last July we started our 1/2 Yearly sale.
Continued it again this year.
Gives us a chance to get rid of onesies left on shelf or packets,
clear out a line, get rid of discontinued lotions (when announced) and keeps the customers coming in for something good.

July is different this year.... I just sent 7 people away tonight because we had a 1.5 hour wait on ALL beds and they couldnt wait....

I agree with dean on this...usually the last two weeks are the bad ones, but the first two have been so good, that if I closed for the last two my sales would be up 12% compared to all month last year...... and last year was not a bad july either....

hmmmm......the difference one extra high pressure bed makes......can't wait for my other 2 to arrive next week....

July and August have always been steady the entire months, for us. They have never been great months, but profitable. It's September for us when the bottom falls out. September may have a decent week or two to start out. but by the end of sseptember it suxs.

my july was great, up 35% but that margin has dropped every day this week. The weather is 85-90 and not 1 cloud in the sky since last week, not kidding not even 1 cloud. tanning index is a 10plus everyday! i am a 1/2 mile from the beach, i cant compete, everyone is outside by pools or at beach. i have been sitting in the dark all day bc no one comes tanning and its a waste of electricity to have lights on when no one is here.

Nothing like running to the light switch when you see a customer walking up.

What happens if you trip and fall and skin your knee?

The customer gets a good laugh..then....

Do you keep the lights off when your taking a crap also?

Then what do you do when a customer comes in with the lights out and thinks your closed because nobody is at the front desk?

This is too funny

What do you consider decent? How many tanners a day?

June was decent for me, I was averaging 60-70 tanners a day, 8 beds. I had the best June on record in 8 years.

International, I feel the same way. We were up 43% for the month now we are up 15% for the month. I guess we should consider ourselves lucky if we are up. Hope it continues.

^^ my numbers are nearly EXACTLY the same to yours. I lost about 25% of my lead in one week. Its scary. I am currently hovering around 16% increase but every day that lead slips lower.

The percentage for July vs. last year cannot be gauged until the month is over. How was June?
