Sell a complemeting service or product, you need to establish a clientele that will come all year round. Skin Care, cosmetics, massage, stuff that complimets what your main purpose is but will keep ticking over with a regular client base. |

| Moderator/Arbonne VP | It depends on your demographics. If you sign up with your friend, hopefully she will be able to direct you on how to best sell it in a tanning salon. It is marketed just like any other product but since there are so many different lines you can choose, you need to choose the right one for YOUR business. It's a mistake I made in the beginning because I signed up with someone who had no clue how tanning salons worked. So get with your friend and talk about it. She what she knows and go from there. __________________ ![]() Please talk to me if you would like to bring a great line of skin care into your salon. CLICK HERE to learn more. YES! My sister had a lady come into the styling salon and have an Arbonne party. She sold alot of product that evening. Everyone absolutley loved it. My wife purchased some and she loves it. I told her about you here on Tan Today being a retailer of it and she said that I need to consider getting into it. Do I need to "sign up under her" and if so, what does she get out of me signing up? |

| Moderator/Arbonne VP | The person you sign up under is considered your sponsor. They are the one that will help, guide and train you in your Arbonne venture. They will show you how best to order for the best possible discount and how to market the products in your salon. As a salon owner you are in a special position because you are not the "normal" consultant doing home presentations. Therefore that takes different marketing skills and training. Our biggest mistake was signing up under someone that didn't know anything about tanning or tanning salons. She was clueless on which products work best and how best to market them in our salon. We made a lot of costly mistakes because we didn't get the support we needed. We basically learned on our own. You need to choose someone to sign up under who you have the confidence in that they will be able to teach and guide you properly. I get about 2 emaiils/phone calls a week from salon owners around the country who've signed up with a consultant and they have no clue what to do with Arbonne now that they are signed up. And I can't help them the way they need to be helped. I can answer a quick question or two but that's about it. They are not on my team and I have to spend my time with my salon and my Arbonne consultants. So my advice is to choose wisely. ![]() __________________ ![]() Please talk to me if you would like to bring a great line of skin care into your salon. CLICK HERE to learn more. YES! The only thing I dislike is their brochures knock sun exposure, so I have to make my own to promote it in the salon. My customers love the bronzers and the brush that goes along with it. The SPFs sell well and the hair protectant i love! __________________ Great Skin. Great Tan. Great You. www.Myspace.com/Internationaltan Internationally known as the best place to tan.... |

Or if they wanted to, they could book online in our salon, although no one has asked to book instore yet. lol They can also purchase flowers for delivery, event tickets, like concerts, sporting events etc, and there is even a wedding registry where the couple can choose excursions they wish to do on their honeymoon, and guests can purchase them for them. On the US sites, you can even buy cars, shop for hunting stuff and other things. What I like about it is that since we have built a rapore with our clients, they like the idea of supporting us over sites like travelocity and such, and we get 60% of the commisions paid for them to travel. I don't have to purchase inventory, no worries about being out of stock on anything, and I think its a realy realy nice complement to the tanning. I am not a travel agent, so i don't take their bookings, I just provide the site for them to book it on. |
