I don't agree with paying under the table because it's illegal and all it takes is one employee to get mad at you and you are in deep trouble. We give free tanning (employee only) and sell them lotions at 40% off. Its not worth it to pay someone under the table, get caught and your in deep shit. |

Then when customers asked - what bed do you use? - the employees said..."Oh, I only tan in the regular beds." I'm sure you see where this is going..... |

| Rookie Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: Broken Arrow, OK Posts: 15 | Yes unlimited tanning in any bed. Employees must tan either before or after their shift, unless we're slow and I'm there, then I'll tell them to go ahead. They are also at the back of the line whenever we have customers waiting. |

| Casual Acquaintance Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Oz Posts: 266 | Pay peanuts get monkeys... I employ sales people, not cheap labour. Good sales staff are worth a lot more than base wage. If you actually want to employ staff that can run your place for you and able to turn the numbers you want when your not there than don't pay base rate. Commission should be involved but if you tell someone they are earning base rate than thats what they think their worth, regardless of commission, your not gonna get any kind of decent standard/results from them. If your gonna pay base rate than expect base standard employees. |
