| I can not find my paperwork, but I think that GSS is the cheapest and we order 18" caps. But, I thought they had pricing by the thousands not just hundred packs. $0.03 per cap is more than I remember paying. I also can not remember if it is the 18" that I order. Any thoughts? Maybe it was the 20" that I was ordering??? 18" seems too small. __________________ "We are what we repeatedly do. If we were talking $50 to $10, then i'd consider it important. Otherwise, it's too minor to think about. There are more things out there more important that are worth looking into lowering your cost, like CC terminal fees, Internet, Phone, etc... that are monthly occurring. __________________ ![]() www.ChronosMarketing.com ____________________________________________ The problem nowadays is stupidity. A cup of coffee costs more than that nowadays. __________________ ![]() www.ChronosMarketing.com ____________________________________________ The problem nowadays is stupidity. A Dollar a day saved = $365/year Do that 10 times and you have an extra $3,650 to the bottom line a year. I'll take an extra $3-4 grand a year for nothing more than buying smarter ![]() I do agree that CC fees and Phone fees are a bigger target. __________________ "We are what we repeatedly do. | Smartass Canuck Moderator Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Canada Posts: 9,090 | how many sessions do you do in spray tans a year? I'm new to spray tan, so right now i'm averaging only 3-4 a day maybe 30 a week. With ups and down in the industry and time of year, are you really doing thousands of spray tans a year? 3,000 sessions??? If you buy hairnets by the case of 100, that's 30boxes a year if you are servicing 3000 sessions. at $9 a case that's $270 a year total cost. Even with the difference on buying cheaper, you are saving maybe $90 a year. Yes buying smart is a good thing, obviously. But don't let it make you into a tightass and that's just not a good feature in a person. I don't mind paying for quality.....if you expect that from your customers, give it to them in return. __________________ ![]() www.ChronosMarketing.com ____________________________________________ The problem nowadays is stupidity. We buy them in the 1,000 pack cases; follow the link that Shane posted. Save some beer money ![]() Now I just need to remember what size I ordered last time, they worked great for all clients??? __________________ "We are what we repeatedly do. I do hand held airbrush, we use to buy the plastic hair caps, but we don't anymore. we've gotten pretty darn good about not spraying the hair, much. lol I understand the need for them with the booths, but why not do caps like peepers. Make them purchase their own? you don't let tanners tan without peepers, you don't provide them for free, why provide the caps for free? make them buy them. even if they are just a $1 a cap. or even less. If they are costing you .03 per cap, even a dime per cap. who's going to complain about that? Then what does it matter how much they cost?? |

| Moderator | IMHO, the cost of the "incidentals" should be covered by your price. If you are not making enough in your asking price of your spray service to cover the .03 cent cap, then you should up your price. When you purchase something out in the big world, isn't it nice to just be told the price of the product or service? Or would prefer for it to broken down for you? Ex. - You run to your favorite nail salon to have a pedicure. Do you want your pedi tech to give you one price, say $40 bucks, or would you prefer her to tell you...."It's $40 bucks for the pedi, $1 for the little foam toe spreaders(have no clue what they're called..lol), and $1 for the nail polish? I can understand if it's an optional thing, but with spray tanning as far as a booth goes, the shower cap is needed, and it should be included/reflected in the price. __________________ . |
