Default "Salon Quality Lotions" sign

Does anyone put a sign up explaining that outdoor tanning lotions and non-salon quality lotions are completely prohibited? I am looking for something I can put in each room and up front explaining the reasons its bad for the tanner and for the tanning bed. Thanks

I will be now after todays incident.... Not worth risking it. Thought about doing it before, just never got around to it. Guess I learned a lesson...

I even have this in my waiver. It says that if they use a non- salon lotion, they will be subject to a $300 fee for replacing the damaged acyrilcs. They must sign before tanning!

All my rooms have one and a sign on my desk. I just made them up on my own.

When it's time for me to print up new release forms, I will be putting what Rob has in there. For now, I have a sign on the desk listing "bad" lotions and telling them they can't use them.

I made my own sign & added a statement into my release form. My release form gives the basics about lotions that are not allowed & the penalties for damages. My sign goes more into detail by listing the ingredients that cause damage (it was easier than naming lotions), what kind of damage is caused, customer responsibility for repairing damages, a detailed list of acrylic cost, & a few tanning tips.

The tanning tips are what draw my customers to the sign, then they read the info listed about how the lotions damage the beds (the lotions bleach acrylics/bleached acrylics block UV rays from reaching the skin & so on)…the bleaching info is what keeps my customers from using “bad lotions”.

We have "Buyer Beware" signage in every room that we downloaded from Designer Skin's website. We lamitnated them & printed them out in color so they look nice. This has also helped to decrease our clients from purchasing lotions online.

Also, we have a demonstration at each locations front desk that shows the effect of mineral oil vs. water-based products. Its a cracker soaking in water & a cracker soaking in baby/mineral oil, people usually ask what it is for & we explain to them that if you were to take the oil cracker out & let it dry then it would be hard as a rock so this means mineral oil-based lotions will dry your skin out as well.
