| So, my new salon will be opening in 10 days and I find out TODAY that we don't have access to DSL, but we need DSL so that we can run credit cards. What else can I do? Anyone else had the same problem? |

But if you have to use DSL it will use the phone line, so you should not have a problem. Unless your phone comany doesn't provide DSL. But that is unlikely. You will need a modem inline somewhere. Perhaps that's the problem? Why do you need DSL for Helios? Are you on Centrix? What version? |

| Rookie | you could also go with cable internet. drawbacks would be that it would probably be more expensive and you would likely have to use their business plan rate, but if you need it for your software, you may have to. You do not need dsl or cable for the credit cards, though. __________________ Chris Insurtec Tanning Insurance www.insurtecinc.com Fight Cystic Fibrosis! www.walkforgrace.com |

The problem is that the salon is opening in a brand new development that currently doesn't have DSL access or cable (cable internet). So our only option is dial up, which seems like it would take forever to run a credit card, or something like the Sprint aircard. |

| Salon Owner/Arbonne VP | It doesn't take any longer to run a cc through a phone line than through DSL. We've done it through a phone line for years. No problems at all. __________________ Kathe Ray ITA member Arbonne products make a great add-on sale to any salon. Natural skin care, nutrition, weight loss, detox and much more!! They are not using a separate CC terminal that will run on a phone line, they are unig a stripe reader connected to the computer. Is this correct? If so, then you will have no choice but to get a separate terminal and run the transactions separately over the phone line like the rest of Small Business America does until your area gets the service. |
