| Hello, I have signed up to carry Avon products and would like to integrate them into my salons. I'd like to hear from those who have integrated a skincare/makeup/etc. line into their salons about how they handled it...for example....do you pay commission to your employees on the sales? Do you include the sales as part of the salon income or do you keep it as a seperate venture? Thanks in advance for any help! |

| Super Star | I tried avon at the salon, i could not keep up with the new catalogs every two weeks plus everyone and their sister sells avon. Check into arbonne, much better quality and so many options. oh and less catalogs to keep up on! __________________ "Well-behaved women seldom make history." --Laurel Thatcher Ulrich |

| Moderator/Arbonne VP | I would have a hard time carrying a product in my salon that: 1. Uses ingredients that I don't agree with i.e. mineral oil, chemical fragrance, etc. 2. Constant change in marketing materials that cost money on a regular basis i.e. catalogs, etc. 3. Have such a low price point i.e. as someone mentioned $3.99 lotions. (Can there really be any good ingredients in a lotion that retails for $3.99? I also like the fact that a company such as Arbonne offers both retail and residual income. Kind of like now and later income. But maybe I'm just a tad biased. LOL __________________ ![]() Please talk to me if you would like to bring a great line of skin care into your salon. | Moderator | Avon in your salon? You have got to be kidding. I would in no one bring that product into my salon. Don`t you think it will devalue your salon? Arbonne would be a better choice IMO if you are wanting to bring something else in. |

| All Star Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Next to Nowhere Posts: 138 | What about offering both Avon and Arbonne?? Some like other items of avon like clothing, perfume, etc and you could carry Arbonne more for the skin care?? Just an idea you have some that will not pay out for skin care etc so let them get the avon and for the others you have Arbonne. Just a thought!! __________________ Christa |

I considered Avon because I know some will not pay $20 plus dollars for a bottle of body wash and I want to capture their $$ somehow. I am planning to be very selective in what I display through the salon. It is something to try. Thanks again. |
