Red face School started today...

So, school started today....seen 4 people....this is going to suck! But, I hope that once the routine gets settled, they'll come back....I did see 3 of my tanners this am getting their hair cuts next door and grabbing some Panera, telling me we'll see you soon, so hopefully they are right! I decided to sell my 2007 Honda Civic and pay cash for a used car....so I have some more back up, just in case...

Wish I had a Panera that close. Our schools don't go back until after labor day here in Michigan. I hope it picks up for you really soon.

yep! Just wait until next busy season when you'll be there for the whole thing and be able to be more prepared!

No joke...our "reserve" that we had from April/May, we used to pay off our construction cost instead of using our other loan to pay for those cost....but, we might have to tap into it to get us through, but wont' have to spend the whole amount, if you know what i mean....We know that after next busy season, we will have more reserve and be fine...I have no worries in the long run, but we knew going into this it was going to be like this, ya know.

Tuscantan, do you get a lot of traffic from the panera. I'v been looking at a another location right next to one but I wasn't sure the primary age group that went there.

uh, yeah....lunch time is crazy around here with traffic...now that is a good and bad thing....Good because those that are going there to eat see my sign out front with our "specials" and remember us or go to our website after lunch....Bad because my lunch tanners have no place to park....It works out good when we do have a wait, usually around the 4ish time and they go down there and get something to drink or a danish or something. Makes it nice....but, I am definitly putting on some pounds

Are the majority of panera patrons older or younger?

I have a Panera right next door to me too. I think everyone goes to panera....all ages, from retires to college/high school kids. Panera super busy here and we also have the parking issue at lunch. I wish my landlord would give me at least 2 dedicated parking spots.

I'll deal with the parking issue. My problem is the space is 22 x 80 (1760 sq ft) which is about 260 sq ft bigger than I need. Also the 22ft wide part will make it tough to build out without having a huge hallway (waste of space). I could do smoothies or coffee with the extra space but dosn't panera offer kick butt coffee and smoothies?

I would just love a place with decent salads and I love the sierra turkey. I have Quizno's, pizza hut, another pizza joint, a yucky chinese place and subway. Yuck to all of them.

Yep...I pay for mine too. I also have a Dierberg's grocery store as the anchor in my plaza. Dierberg's is a large high end grocery chain in St. Louis...so we get lots of traffic!
