| My wife says no and she is probably right, but I thought I'd run by you guys and gals... There has been lots of discussion about adding different services to our salons. Anywhere from art to yoga. We'll I was thinking of different things to add and fitness seems to be something that would fit in well. We don't have a lot of room so I was wondering what we could possibly put in a spare room we have... After a bit of thinking the Wii Fitness game to mind. It's small, and would easily fit in a smaller room we have. It could be controlled with a t-max with a little work and appears to very popular and actually works. I'm not sure how well it would hold up to continued use though. So is there anyone out there using something like this? It doesn't have to be a Wii, but something similar that could be added to a small room and controlled with a t-max. |

They are suppose to help with weight loss and increase muscle strength, wether they do that or not, I have no idea, but i do know they book solid! They would fit in a realy small room too. |

I would suggest something with Skin Care. That is what I am adding. Meeting with someone Friday to bring it in. JMHO Good luck with your Wii |

She was a mod on here at one time and tantalk too. Christine Berk Carlton. She has 2 salons in Fl . She has developed her own skin care line and from what I here it`s fabulous. I am bringing in Micro-derm abrasion. I have to find the right person to do it but I know that will come. |

We were giving serious thought to switching to Lucky Charms to boost business but the Madden rooms are doing so well that we're expanding in that area instead.. |

Plus you will meet many people who you can discuss options with as well. Great time to learn and see new ideas. As for the WII, who knows. The only drawback I see is most people either already have a WII or would purchase a WII before they would spend $$$ to do it somewhere else. You are on the right track. To get ahead you need to always be thinking about the next big thing. If not this, you'll come up with something. |

The power plate is better...do you need showers for that service? Here is an exciting idea! Most people who add non tanning services make less money than adding a tanning service. So unless you already have 2 hp beds, a GOOD spray booth, airbrush and 2 big vhr beds and maybe a leg tanner or stand up booth or formostar...then I would stick to what you know your customers will want and what others have proven to be used without venturing out into 'i hope this works' land. |
