| Moderator | I am 10 min away from several refineries and I am paying $2.60-2.80. Go across the bridge to NJ or down to DE and it is cheaper by a good $.10-.20 a gal. DIstribution has nothing to do with prices. __________________ |

Gas dropped another .06 cents here today, now $2.68. Thing is, everyone is already broke or scarred to spend what they have left. Between the oil prices and the mortgage fallouts we are already ruined. IMHO Will it get any better after the election? Time will tell, eh? __________________ ![]() ~~Flashback from 2001~~ 'OLE' BRUCE THOUGHT THIS FUNNY | |

What a difference a couple of years of abuse does. We are such suckers. We think we are all getting such a bargain right now when the same exact price a couple of years ago had us all up in arms. Baaaaahhhhhh says the sheep. |

New Jersey has the largest stockpile of fuel in the Country and it does not have the lowest prices but we are better then a lot of other states. |

| Moderator | You most likely dont notice but there are distribution terminals all over the country. Just because you are not next to a refinery doenst mean you arent close to an outlet. So again, distribution is NOT the reason for prices for the most part. THe only exception is when the pipelines are shut down for hurricaines, leaks, etc. The reason why the prices vary so much from place to place is 1. Demand, 2. Franchise fees, and 3. Govt taxes and fees. __________________ |
