Default New beds vs used beds

I am not trying to start a fire with bed company's, But really come on. I recieved a price on three new beds....some what basic, 3 facial 42 lamp beds. Price was $35k plus shipping! Ok new and nice, well i did some searching and ended up finding 8 total beds from 2006 to less than a year old with 7 hours on some of them for 26k that comes to $3.250 a bed! With salons closing down all around It would seem to me that buying new beds would put a huge facter into that! I guess what I am getting at is I could never see why anyone would consider buying new! I have to thank this web site for saving me aton of money! Thank you TanToday

That is the same thing i found when looking into beds too. New is too expensive for newbies, and a few years old seem to be half the price of new.

considering what i had to pay to buy beds new in 2000, it was $17,000 for one 40 lamp unit, $35,000 for 3, thats not too bad a price. Your price is less than $12,000 each. You are correct though, you can get some great deals going used right now.

Depends. Make sure you figure you will have to relamp no mattter what they say.
There are benefits to both. If its a bed that would cost a ton to fix I generally prefer to go new, I bought my Open Sun new for that reason acrylics are pricey, lamps are pricey, everything in that bed is pricey.

With the exception of your flagship bed, all other beds could be found used.

Even your showpiece can be used, I just like them new and changed every few years to keep the excitement up

I bought 7 pretty decent beds for $32,000

the question is this: Do you want real nice beds that are a year or two old, or brand new crappy beds for the same price? Becuase, let's face it.....if you budget $32,000 for 7 beds, and you insist on buying new....your not going to end up with anything too impressive

Having said that, do your research and if you can at all, go check out the beds yourself.
