our gas prices went up 13cents a litre up to 1.36 a litre now.. due to fear of Ike hitting texas and the supply of gasoline will be limited for a few days.

My question is this. Didn't Texas have any Ike's or Tina's in the past 25 years when gas was only 49cents? Answer....Of course they did. So why didn't gas shoot through the roof at the thought of a hurricane coming back then? WHY??? I'll tell you why....Cuz we're idiots and accept the fact that they are not lubricating before entering our anus as we bend over for them. I think we all enjoy it or something and ask for more...That's why.

I left for DC Tuesday and gas was $3.69. Today when I drove back into town all the stations were $4.49. VA was $3.35 this morning.

3.78 Litres x $1.36 current gas price per litre in Toronto (regular 87octane)= $5.14 per Gallon of Gasoline.!!!!!!

at $3.69 gallon ...You are paying 97cents a litre. And you're complaining?

We haven't seen those prices in over at least a year!!!!!!!

i do that already. It saves me 50cents on the gallon...but it's still too expensive. And i use turtle wax to keep it smooth for more aerodinamiticity®

There is an oil tanker that tried to reach the inlet by Galveston (I think) and it is stuck out on the edge of the Hurricane and not going because of the weight and the storm.

Well we take it cause we have no choice. We take it without lubrication because we have no choice. How do we change the prices? Stop driving? not happening. They don't make hitching posts in towns anymore for horse and buggy, hell they'd probably chase you out of town if you brought your horse and buggy, and we are all to fat, lazy and out of shape to peddle a bike. We've chosen to live an unreasonable biking or walking distance to our work and such these days. Even if we drive less, it wont hurt them because they just charge more. Much like the tanning salons, if we raise our prices, we may see a few less tanners but the increase in price makes up for the difference anyways.

It sounds like the Houston oil refining plants will be offline for a while. That knocks out at least 6% of our supply. Retail prices are predicted to hit record highs.

The Ike hit on Galvaston and Houston will be worse than Katrina.
