Had a great FTW!!! There were a few key ingredients to finally having a succesful FTW.
Probably the biggest was a sign Black Signs - Home on the road with neon letters that said Free Tanning and the date. We had over 100 new clients and the majority as well as current clients were from that sign. Only bad thing about it is that the city doesn't allow it so I need to take it down. I think the timing was great as we are starting to get busy now. We have barely seen 30-40 clients a day. We have not seen 100 clients in a single day in the past year I have owned, but had 100-150 each day! Pretty crazy! We had our VIP(eft) pricing for every one, here is how that is: L1 Ovation 134 - FREE L2 Bravo 154 and 2M Standup - $3 L3 Ergoline Classic 600 - $6 L4 Ergoline Classic 650 - $9 L5 Matrix 360 - $12 Custom Spray Tans - $15 About 75% went in the upgrade beds and were very happy paying the discounted price. We only signed up 8 new VIP but 2 were L2 and we usually only have around 40 at any given time. Had 25% off all packages and lotion. Barely sold any lotion, but sold a lot of different packages by telling them that it was the last sale of the season. Many bought packs at the next level and many bought packs even though they had some. We have never had a $1000 day either and killed that all three days. Usually the following Mon is dead and we had 40 clients and did $550. Not so much today, but still good. |

Some salons allow clients to use any bed for free while some only allow their base beds and charge a cheaper upgrade price. |

Bella, If you do a search on the site for FTW or FTWE you will see many ideas on how this is done. There are many different view points on how to do this so I suggest you read them all and determine what is best for your salon.

I just did my FTW with some minor changes compared to previous ones and it was my most successful one yet.
My MOST profitable February between both stores has been Feb. of 2000. I made 25% more money this Friday, Saturday and Sunday than my best February ever. Things I did differently: - Offered only two specials. Not too many offers going around to confuse them. A promo on my 3 point packages, and a promo on lotions. - Took appointments, but made sure to let everyone know they needed to be here 5-10 minutes before their appointment or their bed would be given away. By knowing who is coming in, I knew what they were buying ahead of time. All they needed to do after they came in was swipe their credit card. - Instead of lowering prices, I charged more than my reg. price, and geve them more sessions. This way my regularly sold $200 package was on special for $210 (I sold 62 of my biggest pkgs btw ![]() ![]() )Lotions were all sold at regular price, but I gave them one point for every dollar the lotion bottle was worth. ($150 bottle gave them 150 points or about 2 HP sessions) Didn't meet my goal for lotion sales, but did about $4000 worth on lotions anyhow... ALL BEDS WERE FREE!!!! I just got to chose what bed they are using....that's all.... "hello mister cheap ass, let me show you to your 100w bed..." Oh, thank you for purchasing 2 big packages and a bottle of Tanatomy, let me show you how the massage works in the Sunsport Platinum...) APPOINTMENTS help you make faster sales. Now I know....there will be ppl who believe no appointment should be made on a FTW cause you want the beds to keep going and no room to be open. Guess what.... the only reason I have FTW is so the FREE thing brings them in and I get a chance to sell and make money. NOT just so my beds are running non stop. |

Very impressive...
How did you market your event to the community? How far in advance did you announce the event? Do you think it conflicted with business at that time? or see no difference What do you have planned for the rest of the month? Vacation ![]() |
