I got an email last week saying that they were doing a System Audit and that I needed to Upgrade Helios or MY Helios would Shut down by October. I think it is odd that this happened a month after I called them on how to discontinue my monthly maint. fee. When I started with Helios it was 29.95 now it is 49.95 and I have two locations...I never ever need them. I have no problem with price increases but at this time it is something I don't need.
I called Helios and they put me to someone in the sales department, who also told me That Helios would not work if I did not do this new doggle switch. Upgrading to Helios 12 was not a must but the dogle switch was a NO choice deal. I do NOT trust this, I think that I am up against a wall...If I switch the doggle it will more than likely have a glitch in it that will make me wish I had kept the miat. Agreement. If I don't will it really shut down....Does anyone out there have any input or the situation? I have been in the Video Business for 23 years and my video software which is out of business now, tried to do the same thing...I feel for it once, but Am really not sure what Helios is up to. I am thinking about just changing software’s completely. I love the Helios software but have not really shopped around. I have a huge Retail Boutique and 20 beds in one salon and 11 in the other. Any input or help will be appreciated. I did a search and saw that Helios did a similar email in the early part of the year. I did not get that email at all and my system never stopped working. So what is up with that??? Any input is very appreciated. |

all the info you need is here...
http://www.tantoday.com/forums/compu...are-audit.html Order the dongle and pay the $13 shipping and get it over with. They are just protecting their investment against people that have illegal copies of Helios. People that got Helios illegally will not get the new dongle and their program will shut down on them. People that bought it legitimately like yourself will get a new dongle and will continue doing business as usual.

Thank you all for your info, I did look at the information that was done in Febuary of 2008, thought it was kind off weird that this all happened to me now as in last week after a phone call that I was stopping the Maint. monthly draft. Has anyone else got the Audit email in the past few weeks?

Yup, I just replied to it the same as last time, so the new dongle should be arriving soon. All Helios customers would have received the audit email, so it's just a coincidence that you received it after just cancelling!

Keep in mind that Helios requires you to send a letter by registered mail. A phone call won't do it for cancelling. They'll keep charging your account until they receive your letter. It then takes 30days after they receive your letter to cancel your payments. So they will probably charge you one last time at least and then cancel.

Yet they do not send a certified letter about ones software about to take a crap?
I have not yet to receive an e-mail, letter, anything that my Helios is about to crap out. The irony is pathetic.
