I never worry about my clients going elsewhere because we are the best at what we do and i think its good for a customer to check a total shi$$ hole so they will appreciate you even more. I have been told this by multiple people over the years and it just makes them feel better about our store.
If you have 80% of your people on yearly eft and yearly pre paid memberships you need not worry, the customer feels if they have already paid and are to cheep to go spend a few dollars elsewhere. You guys all know how cheep you customers are so you get the point.

Lot's of things to consider regarding closing for vacation. What is your competitive environment? Do you have enough employees to cover your hours? Are those employees competent enough to operate without supervision? Time of year? Everyone's situation is different so use good judgement.

We are closing from the 8-17th this year and taking a cruise to Alaska! We will be closing every year for a week in August. Our customers have not been negative about it at all.
