Default Collection calls for employee.....

Just wondering if any of you have had to deal with this.

I apparently have an employee who is behind on a payment to Capital One and they are calling the salon constantly. About 7 times so far yesterday and today.

I just spoke with a woman and told her that employees are not allowed to have phone calls at work, and if they keep calling it will cost her to lose her job(not really but trying to get them to stop calling the salon)

I told her that as the owner of the business, I want this number taken off the account and she said OK. I guess I'll have to see if they call back.

How do you guys handle situations like this if you've had it happen before?

Thanks

I can tell u this..... The last 2 employees that had collection calls at the shop were also the last 2 employees I had arrested in the salon for theft. Not saying she is a thief- just maybe keep a closer eye on her

It is against the law for a collection department to call a person at their place of employment!

I used to do collections years back and they can call your place of employment unless otherwise stated so by the company/debtor. So if you told them she is not allowed to have calls at her place of employment they will not call there again. I would definately let your employee know that no personal calls at work though.

I have them calling for an employee that hasn't worked here in years! Also have them calling for a current employee.

I will take the advice given and tell them not to call here anymore.

Thanks
