Default Helios processing eft's

I just contacted chase to try to get a better deal on my credit card processing fees. They told me I was with Helios and they have negotiated the best rates already. I told him I could get better rates else where, he told me to take it.
I have always used Helios and have not had any major problems other than when I do, their Customer support sucks. Salons that use Helios and offer Eft's, how do you process your eft's? Helios grabs you by the nuts and squeezes. You must use chase and Helios charges you a transaction fee on top of Chase's fees.

also I use Fifth Third for terminal credit card processing. Will be calling them next!!!

It's not even Chase anymore. I tried to email my rep at Chase and they gave me another phone number to call. All statements are different for past few months too.

You can go with any processor you choose now. Version 12 of Helios apparently makes it easier to switch. But it can be done with 11.

Why? Well it was illegal for them to bind to an external processor.

It will require Helios support sending you a file to update some stuff. They will still take their cut per transaction of course.

Oh and god luck though. I am going on over a year and they still have not switched me from Chase.

I've been pretty happy with Chase. The rates were actually lower than my previous merchant processors and everything is nice and neat with Helios and EFTs now.

We use to use conexion as our processor, all you have to do is save the eft info using the diskette option on the eft menu and email the file to your processor & post the draft yourself. But when it comes to declined efts you will have to enter them in yourself by making a code & closing it out as an in house charge or putting it in through master edit. So even though the eft is posted on their account, it doesn't always mean it's already been approved. If you have a smaller eft file then it is worth saving money...but to me time is money so doing the processing through Helios gives me one less thing to worry about

I've processed EFT's numerous ways in the past ten years and the integrated Helios/Chase(First Data) is a very good way to go.

I've done the export file to an outside provider, as mentioned below, and waded through the declines, expired, and other failure issues, then posting back to Helios, running the declines a week later, then posting them again, etc.....

I updated to running a third party software provided by my bank/merchant services to do it all in house, still manually posting all failures, declines, etc.

At times I could easily waste 12-20 hours a month, updating changed credit card numbers, failures, and all the other maintenance issues related to EFT's.

Now it takes me all of five minutes to run EFT's. It's all controlled internally in the Helios program, declines are auto posted in Balance Due, tanning is locked from member pricing until balance is paid, Memberships with a certain number of sessions per month are auto posted, basically a HANDS FREE operation.

The BEST part is it is done in REAL-TIME, and it is AUTO POSTED in client profile account IMMEDIATELY, so that I know if a card is declined within minutes on the 1st of every month, not having to wait for a file to be returned, update.

And the rates are competitive also.

No Brainer in my opinion.
