Default clients

do you ever find yourself at the counter "stuck" in a conversation with a client that seems to want to spend the entire day at your store? Geez, 45 minutes of blah blah blah. And then another client comes in and they just stand there and wait. Sorry, just venting, I guess its better than no client at all

I have one of those clients. I just don't get it! He spends a lot of money, and really is a nice guy, but I don't need to talk to him for that long! When he comes in, I try to make myself look busy (if I'm not), and get him in the bed ASAP! One of my girls also works at an ice cream place across the street, and he does the same thing to her there.

Haha you kidding me? I have women that would stand here for days to gab if I would let them... Most of the times in the slower part of the year I let them... Friendly = Money...

Don't bite the hands that feed you.

Yes, i have a few that are like that. It drives me nuts. THere is an older couple who come in and he always goes into the room with his wife to help her and then comes out while she tans for 15 minutes. He talks my ear off about cars, which i no nothing about. so i just keep saying uh-huh. Then once his wife comes out they usually want to hang around for another 15 minutes or so....

If you have a business with a comfy couch and plasma tvs like mine then you have to expect your cutomers to not want to leave quickly..

Yep I have one lady that comes in and I hear her whole life story...over and over and over again. If I have another customer here and I am talking to them she walks right in and butts right into that conversation.

Yes, it's amazing the things people will tell you!! I also hate when "that client" is talking, and lets another client ahead of them so they can finish the conversation!

I know pretty much the entire life stories of 80% of my customers. Some are interesting. Some are bizarre. Most are boring as hell

We also have many clients that do that, but we love it, because our customers are comfortable with our salon. If they are comfortable with you they will in return refer other customers. So be happy they like to visit your salon and talk.

I have one customer that always does it. I will make a mental note of the time she arrives and the time she leaves. The record for her is 4 hours 22 minutes. I have had to spend time chatting with her husband, while she tans. I know her whole life story. But on the positive I am have some printing done by her brother real cheap. Unfortunately she is big and I do not like big girls. So I can not think about her naked or @@@@ her while we chat!!!!

Yes, I think we all have these clients. It seems like the salon is their social life, which is pretty depressing. We just try to stay friendly, but if it gets busy- I have no problem in telling them I need to attend to the salon.
