Just had a client come in and got into a discussion with her about vitamin D. She said she is studying about the skin in school and tanning is not good for you becuase "they" say that you get enought vitamin D from just going outside. And that if you get too much vitamin D it hurts your skin and you can get cancer. I asked her who "they" are and she said her teacher and books. Now mind you this is a young girl who's not always playing with a full deck. I tried giving her a few facts that I have learned from all of you on here and what I learned in Nashville. She was not having any of it...kept talking over me, wouldn't let me finish a sentence. Which is nothing new with this person. I had other clients coming in and had to get them checked in.
I was thinking about making copies of some literature and giving to her. Any other suggestions? |

We too have several nurses who tan with us. We have three from the same oncologists office. They know, and will say to us, how good tanning makes them feel and how they know when they need to come again because they are tired and sluggish... but will they take those same comments further... unfortunately not.
