Avoiding the sun completely can lead to arthritis, according to The Arthritic Association. The national arthritis charity warns that sunshine is crucial for the body to produce vitamin D, which is required to ward off degenerative conditions such as arthritis and osteoporosis.

I just had a woman in here asking if it helped arthritis. Wish I read this before she was in here. I told her I'm sure it did. I'll print it out and give it to her next time. She was also running around telling all my customers that tanning is good for you because you get Vitamin D from it while she was waiitng for her bed.

It defn does help, obviously I dont promote it since it's not allowed but I have 2 women that come in to tan but really do it for their arthritis. The one woman says tanning has allowed her to stop taking medication completely. I'm sure the UV helps but the biggest thing is the penetrating heat. I know if I am feeling sore from too much heavy work, the beds help me out too.
