what have you tried? what do you expect? and what kind of color are you looking for. How long are you letting people tan for and what lamp exactly does the bed call for?

I have the same bed, it's coming up for re-lamping soon. John from URI recommened for my set-up the Sig Series HP 160w lamps w/Heraeus 500w facials. I'd have to dig out my notes for the exact specs.

Ya, John sold me those and they drop in nothing flat. Even though this bed is supposed to run for 15 min., I use it as a 12 min. bed. So, I want a 12 min. lamp. I used to run cosmo vhr tt in my other 12 min bed. I can't seem to find a good lamp for this bed that doesn't drop so fast. In 144hrs the sig series has dropped to 40%. Maybe I should get the vhr tt's and put them in this bed and see how they do. I am just frustrated and this bed sucks!! This is why I am trying to get imput before I blow more money. I should of kept my ultrabronz voyager, it kicked butt.

Swift HP has more bite tan the 9K90. For the top try alternating the HP with an advantage XPT-R 160W. The light bleds ad you get kick with lots of A. They are running a program for a short time called the "taste of consistancy" you can get the philps consistancy 160W-xpt-r for about 9.00. This is the same tan type as the normal consistancy but will die in 500-600 hrs. It is designed to do that as they want you to try the tan type of the lamp but not the long life version

tanberry, you must be taking your readings wrong because there is no way the Sig Hp's lost 40% in under 150hrs. We use them in the Sungate which puts more Voltage & wattage to the lamps (180W Ballast) & they run great for 300-350 hrs. In Ergoline beds most people are getting well over 600 hrs with the Sig Hp's. (There are plenty of people on line who use these)

If your looking for something with more bite try the Heraeus Magic Sun 23/160R. That should make for a nice 12 minute session.

tanberry

I has been said many times that you should not take meter readings for the first 50 hours because the lamps need to settle down. The only way those lamps lost 40% in that short period of time is that you took your meter readings too early.

Not trying to diss you John. Maybe somethings up with my bed. You can tell just laying in there that your not getting what you should be but everything else seems to be okay. But thats not what I am going by. I have metered them. I have hated these beds ever since I got them. Thanks for suggestion lamp man. Thats why I am on here.

That bed is legit 15 min. 12 min session time does not produce good tan in that bed even with super-duper lamps.
evo 500 is 12 min by the book but tans close to good only at 15 min.

Is this a Classic or Evolution?

The classics have it mounted outside of the bed. Whereas the Evolution and Excellence have it inside the bed.

Can I just swap out the intellitan for tmax even though its in the bed?

It is Evolution.
Yes, i have intellitan timer in my basement and wire goes straight to 15 min Tmax T3a. I dont know if there any tricks with plugging Tmax 3a to that bed - i did not do it. But it works. and can be done.
