With mag ballasts..one lamp out makes the other go out too. Just change the lamp that is fried first and it may be all good.

I just had the same issues with a Sunstorm and it ended up being a wire in the harness was compromised. The lamp would light when started but when you pulled the canopy down it would go out or dim itself. We replaced lamp holders to be sure, but it was giving inconsistent voltage through that particular wire.

We jumped a new wire and snaked it through from the new lamp holder to the ballast and all is well. (instead of drilling out the rivets that hold the reflector in place)

But sometimes you need a tanning bed technician AFTER an electrician has thoroughly screwed up the bed. I've actually charged EXTRA because an electrician was called first.
