I was placing the meter in the middle of the bed for accuracy. On my stand ups i did place it in the middle as well, not sure if that is correct or not though. I did get a 19.7 on my new lamps.

So then basically anything less than a 14 would be considered shit and need a change.

The 19.7 sounds about right. Not horrible anyway. So someday when they fall to 0.70 x 19.7 = 13.8 change them. Or sooner if you want.

Two things I've always taken for granted just got shattered today:

1. That everyone knows a meter reading goes down not up as lamps age.

2. That everyone knows how to multiply a percent of something.

Sheeeesh...

Hey at least he has the meter and is trying to learn. Better than lots of other salon owners out there. We all gotta start somewhere

My 32/100W beds meter 33-35 with lamps under 100hours.

When i metered them after 600hours on the lamps i get readings of 22-24.
