Default Prosun Needs relamped

We have a prosun Sapphire using Midday sun lamps FR71T12/BL/BP. Should I stay with this lamp or is something better out there? I have been looking around and there is a lot to choose from.

Which model do you have? 20 minute session now, right?

You may want to consider the Signature series RUVA lamps from LiteSources. We have used those in some of the Sapphire units and reduced tan time from 20 to 18 minutes.

Question Re: Prosun Needs relamped

http://www.tantoday.com/forums/attac...1&d=1205712419

He's talking about this lamp. It is a Light sources private label with sol glass. The thing is are they really getting a 100 watt lamp to meter at 28.6? Drew has mentioned his base beds meter in the 20's? More importantly for me is the lamps they are labeling it compatible with. What LSI lamp is this? Oh yeah and they are saying 1400 hrs.

I've never heard of it. But IF it is a LS SolGlass clone the 5.0 reading looks about right based on other posts I've read.

I talked to John at URI. It is a sol glass lamp however they don't have them yet. They aren't ready yet. The little line they have in the ad about selling them faster than they can make them is partly true since they aren't out yet

A 32 lamp 100 watt ballast bed like tan america will put out about that number with a LSI beach sun reflector..but a sundash genesis with 120 milliamp ballasts will put out about 38 with LSI beach sun reflectors. With the Supra reflector I got 43 on this bed with a 10 min tan time. It will settle down and I will re meter.

UV World is selling the same lamp as the Sunmaster Clear Tech 20. They call it the Green Energy TX

UV World :: Tubes, WLamps, Starters :: Low-pressure Tubes :: Green Energy
according to their stats the 100W non reflector lamp puts out 28.6 mW/cm2. with 1.6% UVB. If anyone tries it let us know
