I have always been able to sell my level 2 (UWE Tropical) on the basis that it "won't burn" or that it has "minimal UVB" etc.. Well yesterday I installed Voltarc PWR 15 lamps. I tanned in them myself and fried. I have never ever burned in my Tropical .....through 3 lamp changes.

Then I realized I am taking Zithromax (antibiotic) and that probably caused my reaction....however....I am still concerned about that lamp. Any experince with these lamps anyone can share??

What lamps were you using orior to the Voltarcs?

It was a recommendation. I realize now that he probably couldn't sell me the LSI lamps.

I will say that I am happy with my Voltarc GTX in my Sundash 232s. But UVB is what my fry baby customers live for.

Ok enough about the bad decision. The Voltarcs have a bunch more B in them.

Sig Series HOR run about 3%.

Not really. Today most of your lamp salesman will sell you anything so they can make money today. That you won't buy from them again, doesn't seem to matter. Notice I did say most...not all.

Zithromax will make you more sensitive as well. I burned on 6 min in my 12 min beds.

Yes I am thinking it's a little bit of both. I will have to tan again next week when the antibiotics are out of my system. Thanks Tiff

She started the detox after the burn but not sure if she's still on them.

I was taking Zithromax which I guess stays with you for 5 days after you finish the pack. I did not even think about the antibiotic vs detox thing. I was taking it for a mild walking pnumonia last week and I feel pretty good now so I am not worried........

I started the detox on Friday and I tanned Friday afternoon. I am going to wait until next Friday (23rd) to tan on these lamps again. That will give me a whole week after the detox and 10 days after the Zithromax.

tropicals origianly came with vlr's , which were low uvb. But tropicals are just base beds...fry people!!!!
