Psoriasis and Spray Tans
OMG I did a spray on a young girl Thursday for homecoming, neither her or her mom informed me the girl had psoriasis.
They come in this AM and the girl looks like $hit. The Spray tan peeled off in spots. I asked the girl about a red inflamed spot on her arm and she says OH I have psoriasis. I gave her a free month of tanning in the base beds and told her NO more spray tans.... Some parents, why would you bring your kids in for a spray knowing they have this????

Gottatan, do you have them sign a waiver prior to the spray. I have a copy of one if you want to use it, but anyways it asks on it if they have any skin conditiions and that is one of them that is specifically asks, that way if you make them understand that you wont guarantee their results, your not responsible in any way. Let me know ...

Yes all my customers sign waivers.
I'm not responsible and the customer was very understanding. Thats why I gave her a free month. She was upset but in no way accused me or the salon. She came in to see if there was anything she could do to camoflauge it before the dance.

Hmm, I guess if a customer has a skin problem we should schedule them the day of there event. I'll remember that for us in the future.
I feel bad for the girl. That would be horrible to have that and have to go to a dance feeling insecure everyone is looking at her psoriasis. If it was me I'd do whatever I could to get it covered up, even if it means it looks like s*** in a few days.
