I have recently been having problems with white hands and feet. I use a barrier cream. So that I have this correctly can someone tell me where the barrier cream goes and do you spray directly on the hands and feet.
I use to let the overspray just hit these parts but, for some reason I am getting white hands and feet. I am afraid to spray directly as I did it one time and had a horrible disaster with the client the next day. Thank you in advance |

I have them put a thinner layer on their elbows, knees, and the backs of their heels. Then I have them put a gob (lack of better word) on their finger nails & toe nails.
When I spray I do their hands & feet last. I will spray them directly, but I back the gun up a little bit so it's not as intense as on the rest of their body. I always tell them that I am spraying these areas very lightly, and that if they notice it's not enough, just give me a call & come back the next day. I have had a couple of people that came back the next day to get a bit more on their hands and/or feet, but like I tell them - better to need more than to look bad and not be able to fix it!! Hope it helps!

Ya. When we did this we would spray the hands and feet but every so little with gun further back. We usually did one very light coat then do some other work and come back if needed. Most sprays I used seem to "settle" and darken about 30 seconds after applied.

Ive learned from trial and error.
I think every tech has their own theory and technique. For me, I dont hit the hands or feet at all until after the second coat. I make everyone i spray moisturize their hands and feet before the session with South Seas Moisturizer that I give them covering top and bottoms of feet and the hand and palms. when Im finished with the second coat i check them over let them dry a bit then I just a QUICK POP POP POP with the gun trigger 1,2,3 the fronts of the hands then the front feet then back of feet .... after that I stand them in front of the fan and let them dry moving front back sides (this is the longest part of the spray seeion btw... dry them like this for 10 min) I also stopped using barrier cream and just take a sluff wipe or baby wipes and wipe their nails cuticles and feet for them before drying them with the fan. |
