| Inherited the T-Max pro system, rooms have 3a timers, all hooked up and running from front desk. No problems. I am old school, want to start up the new year on computer, but I have no manuals, no cables to hook up to the computer, and I am computer functionally illiterate. Is there a link, or a set up manual, to accomplish all of this? I have Windows XP, HP computer, and a ton of patience. I've read a bunch of threads, and posts, but am still confused. Thanks in advance all. |

All you will need is a 9 pin serial cable to go from the manager pro to a serial port on your computer. Then configure your software program to let it know that your using T-Max. Go to appdig.com and download their manual for the Manager Pro. It has everything you will need to get the manager up and running with your computer. Any questions, feel free to give me a call. The only information, or program of sorts that is here, is Helios 11. Will that work for what I am doing, and again, no manual for the program? Thanks, and Happy Holidays to you as well! |

It will have step-by-step instruction on how to set up Helios with T-Max (and other timers). It might be tricky if you only have USB connection on computer, and Manager Pro is set up for Serial Port. If only USB on the computer, You will need a Serial -> USB converter, also available at your local Radio Shack, etc............. Once all the parts are in place, Tech Support can assist you in installing, if you have ADD issues ![]() while you're on the phone with them, make sure you get username & pasword set up for www.gohelios.com there are some decent tools on there for future reference. If you can locate your original Windows XP PRO CD-ROM, you can have support walk you through install of BackOffice. This is one of the best tools offered IMHO. I use the SQL Wizard weekly to create XLS spreadsheets for e-mail among other reports. Last edited by sparky : 25th December 2006 at 06:05 PM. |

Or are you talking about Windows? I have a bunch of Windows Programs, Office Quiken, and all of that crap, is that what you mean? Sorry for all the questions, just want to surprise someone come Jan 1. Thanks. |

A completely separate issue, only a thought IF you only have to talk to tech support. Why waste the time and phone call, might as well get something nice out of the deal. Quote:
