| Doing a buildout, and I'm wondering if there is going to be a problem running the Tmax daisy chain wiring close to any electrical wiring. Any interference problems or anything else I should consider? Also, how about wireless? I've seen good and bad. Currently, we have Manager Pro w/ our 3A's. But we're getting new beds at our new location, so I have options. What are your opinions? Thanks |

Wireless is OK for a quick addition which is what it is intended for but wired is allways best. Power the timers from one source. A single transformer for all timers. Can be plugged into a UPS. I usually install the timers by the room door so all of the wiring is in the wall on the hallway side and all high votage for beds are in the back walls. Gives you plenty of separation. Allways try to run high and low voltage wiring at right angles to each other if you have to cross them. This will reduce interference. T-Max is pretty reliable though, not like the old Questar and FST with all the home runs. Try to keep away from florescent light fixtures in the cieling. |

Posts: 159 | They do come with their own plugs, and can be plugged in seperately or you can get One transformer and power all of them from a central location. This keeps you from having to have an outlet above each room just for the power supply for the 3-A. If you have the power supply plugged in the room where customers can see it, they will try and unplug it to see if they can get a free tan, and when they do, it will start screeching at your manager at the front because it has lost communication with that timer. The only bad thing about having One Transformer run all of your 3-A timers is if that transformer ever goes out, you will lose power to EVERY 3-A and then you have no way to set time to the beds.... |
