I got a unit with an actual timer hookup, I'm sure they can be retrofitted, what they did was use a speaker hookup with the pressure tabs and tapped into the timer I think. when the jumper wire is out, the unit's timer will not light up.

I haven't tried the thing yet, only got 1 sheet to experiment with right now. gotta get to the store
