Default vista HELP

I need a start up disk for a t-max manager (not the pro) for Windows Vista. I purchased a tanning salon and got a new computer and was not given the start up disk (it probably wouldn't work anyway since they didn't have Vista.
Please help. I need to open the store

Stick with Windows XP.

Helios requires XP Pro, I'm not sure about the others.

This ain't cutting edge software, not enough users in the real world, or the need for the latest in gaming/graphics as with Vista.

If you already bought it, take it home and play with Vista.

Get a bare bones unit with a decent hard drive, lots of memory, and a CD/DVD burner for backups. Check what extra ports you need, i.e. USB for a dongle, Serial for T-Max, (older units) 2nd parallel for receipt printers, etc....

Did you try it?

The same program said it didn't work with XP at one time and does.

Try it first.

Sparky is right about XP pro for Helios. XP is stable too. Lots of problems with Vista.

try to run it in compatibility mode. you have a 50/50 chance of it working.

I called T-max and I have to say that the tech that I spoke with was the most helpful person that I have had to deal with so far. He walked me through fixing my problem and it worked. T-max is the best!!!!
