Default 2 TMax Timer as Stand Alone?

Hi, I have 2 ETS Solaris 442's. I wanted to use each bed with a stand alone time. I have 2 T-Max timers (3A), which I intented to use with each of the beds. I connected both, one to each bed, with the modular cables, set each bed's address to 1 and set each t-max address to 0. When both are connected, only one works, the other displays a '39' . Each one will work (when only one is turned on) but both won't work when both are connected... Do I need to change the address of the second bed and timer? I don't really want a manager since I only have two beds... is that my only option? Please help!

T-Max 3A Manual HERE

You are running two separate systems, and they should not be interconnected. One 3-A for each room, wired directly to each bed.

Quote:
REMOTE SINGLE BED CONTROL (Master-Slave)

Remote single bed control is the ability to control a T-Max® timer in the tanning room with a T-Max® 3A at the front desk.

Two T-Max® timers are required for remote single bed control:

A T-Max® 3A at the front desk (referred to as the Master) and a T-Max® timer in the tanning room (either a T-Max® 3A or a T-Max® certified in bed timer.

This timer is referred to as the salve).

A Master T-Max® 3A can only control one T-Max® timer in the tanning room.

WIRING

Place one T-Max® 3A in the tanning room and one at the desired remote location.

Connect the 9V @ 300mA power supply to the “Pwr In” screw terminal on the back of each T-Max® 3A.

Plug each power supply into a 120VAC outlet.

Connect the T-Max® 3A in the tanning room to the tanning bed as described.

Run the provided modular cable from the tanning room to the remote T-Max® 3A. Connect the modular cable to one of the RJ-22 ports on each T-Max® 3A.

Note: If you are using the G2 wireless adapters, you do not need to run the modular cable. Connect the G2 power injector to the T-Max® 3A as described in the G2 Power injector Users guide.

CONFIGURATION

Set the address on the T-Max® 3A in the tanning room to “1”, and the address on the T-Max® 3A at the front desk to “0” as described in the setting parameters section of this manual.

When setting the address (parameter 1), make sure the period is not flashing. A flashing period means the address is over address 100.

When setting the delay (parameter 3), set the delay on the Master T-Max® 3A (the T-Max® 3A at the front desk).

SESSION CONTROL

To start a session, press the Up or Down Button on the T-Max® 3A at the front desk until the session time is displayed.

Next press the Start/Stop button on the front desk T-Max® 3A to start the session.

If a delay other than 0 is set, the delay will count down. A period on the lower right corner of the display will flash rapidly.

When the session starts, the period will flash at once per second rate.

If there is no delay entered, the session will start immediately.

To pause a session, press the Start/Stop button on the timer in the tanning room.

The flashing period on the lower right corner of the display will stop flashing and stay illuminated.

The session time will continue to count down and reflect the remaining session time.

To restart the session, press the Start/Stop button on the timer in the tanning room.

The period will continue flashing.

To Cancel a session Press the Up and Down buttons on the T-Max® 3A at the front desk at the same time.

Yes I have 2 beds, each connected directly and separately to each bed and timer, each set with addresses 1 (bed), 0 (timer). But one works, the other still showing 39 (flashing) on timer.

A modular (RJ22) cable come with one timer. The other, I bought a RJ22 wire at the store... that shouldn't matter right?

39 is the version of the Chip. It won't go into run mode because of the mis-connected wires.

Can't use a store-bought, the pin connectors on the ends are different.

cheapest way for one cable is to buy one from your tanning distributer.

You can make cables with a specific crimper ~$40.

wire connections shown at the end of this manual

T-max is at www.appdig.com

Cables need to be terminated like this.
