| I Have just aquired a used Magic 3500 and everything is working perfectly except the T-Max interface. I have the black box connected to the unit but I cannot figure out how to connect it to my 3A. The black box connected to the magic is completely sealed and has no way of being configured. (Opened the panel and just an ADI board in it). It does have 3 ports on the bottom that do accept the T-Max cable. The manual is absolutely no help on this. Any Help would be greatly appreciated! Contacted Kip from Magic and he has not returned my call (it has been several days), which is why I am here now... |

The black box goes into your daisy chain just like a 3A and then there is a special 3A that plugs into the black box for addressing and such. There are 3 RJ-22 phone connectors on the box. Two paired next to each other, these are your daisy chain connections and one that is separate, this one is for the special display. You should be able to address it with the manager. Do you have a manager Pro or Plus? If so, you can plug in the manager into the black box and see what address it comes up as. Then press call/menu, enter the level three security code press enter and when the mgr asks for get params hit next, it will display send params, hit enter. It will display what param, press 1, it will display what data, press the room number that you would like it to be then hit enter. Then reycle power on the mgr and let it scan to see if it changed the address. Then re install the mgr up front. |

If this works is it necessary to purchase this proprietary 3a to run the magic or will the manager pro do the trick? |

It's not a standard 3A timer. A regular 3A timer will not work. Call ADI Tech and order the special timer for the booth. __________________ ![]() www.ChronosMarketing.com ____________________________________________ The problem nowadays is stupidity. Why don't we just take the safety labels off everything and see what happens? |

The info got me pointed in the right direction so I have the MT 3A on order. Unfortunately it only comes with another black box $$. I guess these things are to be expected when you don't buy new. This Business is tough enough, I'm thankful for this forum! |
