Default Sundash 232 problem

We have a few 232's, one of them has intermittent problems. Occasionally a error code of e-7 appears ( never saw it only appeared when in Canada fishing). I have seen it's other weird problem, You check someone in, put them in the bed, they come back out and say their bed did not start. First few times you think Oh it's busy I must have forgot. Then when you restart them the computer thinks its re tanning them and flashes the 24 hr warning. Only bed 10 does this, it's like it eats the tan, and tells the computer I am done.

E7, is that on the manager? That usually signifies loss of communication between the bed and the manager. The other bed could be losing power and resetting.

I have never seen the error, and I was about 1100 miles away when it happened. Any other day, I am in and out of there2-3 times. The same bed is the one acting up with the lost sessions, client goes back to tan and the bed acts like its done before i starts. Ussually after 10 sessions in a row, maybe it gets a little warm and just says NO.

This is the first prob we had with these beds, other than w/ the fact. lamps we burned the $hit out of people. Customers like em, and most whitey's can't take the full time so we are flipping people very quickly. I'll post again if, it comes up.

Does it work fine now? If so, might just be a comm glitch. Try checking the RJ-22 connections for the timer. Maybe there is some dust buildup.

Hi, mgj, it's bash again. I agree that it's probably a communication issue(but I am not an expert) I have the same problem every now & then. When e7 comes up I unplug my t-max wait 10 seconds & plug it back in & it works. At times my computer says the bed is running & it isn't. I just reset it & thankfully it comes on again. Recently the 0 disappeared on my Starpower(I know it sucks, but I made it better)-I had to flip the circuit breaker & it came back on. Had a brief heart attack though!!

Getting a little more info, today it tried to turn on, she said it made a clicking sound like it always does when it turns on (contactors being drawn down I assume) but before the lamps lit, it shut off again. Salon touch acts like it never even tried to turn it on, it resets to a blank room, When a bed is used it changes colors blue, then green, then purple for a dirty room. It acts like it the session never happened. Then ran w/out a glitch the rest of the day.

I would just replace the communication wire running to that bed. If its a communication error, then replace then wire and start from there.

Sounds like the bed is resetting. Don't go by the software. Does the timer reset to zero in the room? Could be a bad lamp in the bed. These beds have a sensor on the board to detect transiesents caused by flickering or shorted lamps and shut the bed down.

Removing Q1 and Q2 off of the board eliminates this but if you are not skilled with working on circuit boards then don't attempt this as you might fuque it up.

I have seven of those and I've had just about everything weird happen to them. I'm thinking "com" chip on the board. I've changed out those, the module itself quite a few times , the display board several times, and lots of loose wires in the drawer. Good luck! These electronic on-bed displays are nice when they work. No fun at all to troubleshoot. I've never found a bad or flickering lamp the culprit.

Weird thing it been over a month w/out another instance. I did unplug and plug the T-max cable, but that is it. I am not one to believe in beds healing themselves. Oh well, wait and see??

Could have just been some oxidation on the connectors and pins.
