Default Facials out on Baby-X

All 3 facials are out on my Baby-X. Checked and jumpered the safety glass connections and tested the continuity of the facial on/off switch. They seem OK.

Any suggestions?

Could be the circuit board in the top, the contactor in the drawer, or a broken wire in the cable.

Thanks, Brian.

Oddly enough, yesterday I decided to just close it up and shut down the bed for a couple of days. After I got everything back in place I fired it up once more and the freakin' facials started with no problem. WTF?!?

I'll keep an eye on them for the next week. Who knows? Maybe it's my lucky day. Probably not!!

OK, Brian. What do I need to check? How do I check them? And where do you want me to send the check?

What's the "plunger" thing on the top drawer?

You need to check your speed dial and get put on the schedule.

Go through the glass connectors again. Jumper all three out at the same time.

I'll try first thing tomorrow morning and report back. I've pre-made 2 jumpers, I'll see if I've got another hanging around somewhere.

OK, jumpered them all out. Center facial fired up within 1 minute, left fired up about 1-2 minutes later, right fired up about 1 minute after that.

Set everything back to normal, restarted, pretty similar results. Tried a couple of times, same results.

They are definitely not coming on together at startup.

You are more than welcome to come visit. If memory serves, you were pretty anxious to get out of our sleepy little burg and it's one red light.

PS. My dad was wandering around the other day with a machete. At least he's not starting fires...

Sounds like old lamps or weak ignitors. What kind of lamps are in there?

Stock. I haven't changed them yet. They have about 750 hrs. on them. I didn't think they would all peter out at the same time though.

Try new lamps first. Let me know and I can send you some.

Swapped out the lamps and it fired up w/no problem. I had some Heraeus Magic Suns in the back.

I feel like an idiot for not checking that first but, like I said, I didn't think they would all fail at the same time.

Thanks again, Brian. The man with the answers, as always.

Send me your address.
