Sorry guys, Tom is stuck at home today with some contractors. And I think it might be the voltage. It's really hot and muggy here, in the 90's and lots of AC running so I think there's just not enough juice coming in. But that is my very non-educated opinion. I won't know more until maybe tomorrow. Sorry!

That sounds right to me. If it is random and varies by which lamp then it is almost always voltage related. What brand of lamps are you using? Some will ignite better with lower voltage.

That could be part of the issue. For whatever reason Heraeus lamps do not light as well in the Orbits. Did you switch to them recently? I bet if you switch to a Radium lamp (Supra or Solar Elements)it might fix the issue.

Disclaimer.....Yes I sell Radium made lamps but.......my advice is honest and true :-)

Kathe,
I had this problem with one last year. I found a bad pin in the plug that is in the tray.
Sometimes it would light and than nothing of a day than back on. I had checked the plug and missed it...drove me crazy of about a week.
We run three Orbit v.2 (Onyx,Sunstorm).

OK, Tom fixed it on Saturday. It was a loose wire and it burned out the lamp. But it was flickering on and off for awhile first. Thanks everybody for your help and thanks to Leif who was a dear on the phone talking with Tom. Love those german schematics. LOL

That explains the first lamp. What about the second one? You think you might have just thought that was out because you were turning the bed on and off to test it?

You all did help. Leif helped because Tom didn't have the schematics and he could help trouble shoot the wiring while Tom was working on it. You ALL helped with all of the great suggestions and I truly appreciate it all. We originally bought the bed from Leif forever ago.

And yes I do think we thought it was two lamps out when it was only one.
