| I had this bed doing this only every so often a few months back but now it is consistant. 2003 Magic. When you start the bed it will run for about 8 seconds, then shut off, fans included and display stays on but blank. Then a second later start again, with the voice ect. display goes back to normal run for a few seconds, shut off and do it all over again and again. I have checked the cassettes, none are loose. Change the clear relays in the drawer, checked all power connections, all seem good. It's not the T-max because if it was the bed could not turn back on. Matiaus isn't sure what else it could be at this time. I am posting this in the hope someone has had the same experience. Thanks! |

When you test run it, does any of the little red LED lights come on (showing broken glass) in the columns? If it doesn't then you know it's not a switch issue and you can move on to the next diagnostic. __________________ ![]() www.ChronosMarketing.com ____________________________________________ The problem nowadays is stupidity. Yet my older (10 months older) Magic has rarely ever had a problem. Dean, I checked all that stuff. I have already changed the display board on this bed, twice. I think this bed need a new main board. Might be the culprit to all the problems. |

It would still run if the display didn't work. Take the board out and inspect it for a cracked solder joint. If you can solder, just go over the board and see if it will fix the problem. If it does work then the overall components on the board should be good. Just heat up every joint and re tin them. If that doesn't work then put in a new board. |

No way I am switching boards with another bed that works fine. I would end up with both down then. Not to mention I like a bed I can look at to see how things are connected properly. Tammy, stop dreaming already. The bed is paid off and when running, runs all day in season. A new one would be overkill. Though I am going to replace the last 818 at that store with maybe a new Saturn, a stand up Magic (room size) or something else. Not totally sure yet. |

Nice thought, but the issue discussed is for a Magic 636 High Pressure Tanning Bed, not a sunless booth ![]() __________________ ......................Flashback 2001........................
