Default oribt lamps

Which low pressure lamp is the best for the body in an orbit? I have been using Phillip swifts in them for years and are no longer available. Any feedback on other options would be appreciated.

We switched to Supra and love them! Search Supra for a great thread about them.

I am considering Supra lamps. I use them already for my facials, but I am concerned that they have to much UVB. Are your customers burning with them?

No they are getting very nice color. I'm very happy with them and will be switching our Sun Capsules to them pretty soon. Much better than the Haraeus that we currently have in them and had in the Orbit.

I did use the Swift lamps also. I really loved those lamps.

The Hereaus 20/160 should have around the same B approx 3.4% in relation to output)as the Swift but with more uva. I like the 20/160 in the bench and alternate the 20/160 & 23/160 in the canopy. This gives you a good strong session.

I had trouble getting Supra lamps from Brian, about to give up. Not sure it is worth the hassle.

My Heraeus were burning out after just 150 hours. Some others here were having the same issue. I just replaced one today in my sun capsule with barely 100 hours on it.

We offer a great lamp for the Orbit. New Technology SR+ 59" 140w. Great 10-12 minute lamp. High UVA lamp with a punch of B.

Scott,

All of our shipping issues have been resolved. We had some problems over the last week or so and those problems have been rectified.

You have already been informed that your lamps are on the way. I am sorry for the issues with your order. Sometimes we have to put our reputations in the hands of others and they drop the ball.

As we grow the Supra brand we will encounter some pitfalls and are taking full advantage to see that those problems to the best of our abilities do not re occur.

As for the product, it speaks for itself and is worth every penny and when you receive your order you will see as all of the others on this site have seen and commented and experienced for themselves.

Thank you for your support.

There are many good options:

We have many salons that use the Heraeus Magic Sun 20/140R, this will be about in line with the Philips Swift VHOR. There is also the LSI Sig Plus which will be a bit hotter. Still have some clients that also use the Cosmolux VHR TT, which is decent but high price.

There has been some good reviews on the Supra lamps in this unit, however I personally have no experience with them.

You can also try contacting Worldwide Specialty Lighting in Atlanta, GA they may still have some Philips or a PL version of it.

Used the Hereaus 140s in the orbit and they were horrible. Output drop real quick. I use the 20/160 and 23/160 watt Hereaus lamps in many of my beds and they are great. The 140s are not the same for some reason. Thanks for the reply

Talked to Worldwide today and they have no 140s left, but thanks for the info.

We just put in the 140/160 watt Supra's and are getting high 70's on a 5.0 and 31 on 7.0. This is on a voyager which I have been told if similar to an Orbit. (I could be mistaken though...)

Either way we do use the 140 watt Supra lamps and for the first day they are kicking ass. Others have posted they have great life so I'm looking forward to the same.
