I'm looking for a replacement lamp for an Affinity 600.
I have used Phillips 808's for a couple of years but after they stopped manufacturing lamps I had to switch. I made the switch to try out Beach Sun's and I really really dislike these lamps. The B's not the same as the 808's and the A isn't even close to as high either. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking for a broken in TE time of about 8 minutes with plenty of UVA output as well.

Hard to find. The 808 was a unique lamp.
You can try the SLI PureBronze FR71 5.5, but that is a bit lower UVB also, closer to the Advantage. Have you tried a Signature Series 5.0 FR71? Those are pretty hot! |

No, I haven't. Are the Sig Series 5.0's a big improvment over the Beach Suns? I wouldn't mind having the B come down a bit, it's just that the 808's would give that kick of B but also have a fair amount of A. I'm just really disappointed with these lamps. They might be the absolute worst I have ever used. I'm getting 32 on a 5.0, that is a joke. The 808's never dropped below 42...

I used them for a bit when I first installed the bed.
I'm not a fan of those either. Do you have an Affinity 600? If so, what are you running in it? Don't you also have the 1100? And are you using the OE Lamps that came with it? I have the 1100 also and the lamps they use aren't impressive.

OEM lamps go to the lowest bidder!
The Sig Series 5.0 has a bit less UVB with a nice amount of UVA. They should be around an 8 minute lamp. I personally haven't tanned on them. |

The Supra in my Ergos give you approx a 12 min te with 50's on the 5.0 .
I alternate the canopy with 808's to bring the te down to around 10 min. I'm gonna try replacing the 808's with heraues 26/160's . |
