My 2 Cents..... Competitive Pricing. I have a few Customers that will pay more than $30 per Bottle, But Not Many. I am the Low Price Leader in my area, and people like inexpensive lotions that work. When the economy starts to look better, then price won't be as much of as issue, but for now it is.

Def better names than Barely Legal, Sex Kitten, Tap That... I will not carry these lotions because of their names. I am running a Tanning Salon, not a Brothel

And I def agree with no Perfume smells, some of them are ok, but not everyone wants to smell like a night on the town.

Thanks & Good Luck!

Will the iDin have a peach scent? Or maybe a lil peach shirt on the bottle?

You need to have a line of products that retails for $119-149. I don't even carry products less than $40 at my salon. Fragrance IS important. It's not a selling point, but it can be a deal breaker. I find that aloe based products (like DC) feel better than water based products (AG/SB). Silicone based products are the shiznit, but not for everyone. I LOVE products with Barley in it, like SB Pure Brilliance.

If you can take the smells of DS products, and put them to the bases of DC products, and use sexy bottles like Cypher, Crystal, Code, and Black you'll do well!

1. Focus High end.
2. Sell exclusivley to High end salons with good equip mixes and store presentation.
3. For Farque's sake make packetts.
4. If I see your sh!t in beauty suppliers or on ebay I'll hunt you down personally.

I also have cheapest lotion at $40, then it goes to the $60 Range,, then the $90 range then the $120-$140 range.

I'm with kpowr on this one. I only want high end looking lotions. If your lotion looks like it's been bottles by a 5yr old and labelled by a 6yr old....then good luck. I've been saying this for years!!!!! MRI came out with a great lotion line.....fabulous.
SunTanCity did their own lotions for their salons which look amazing as well.

I've seen many PL lotion companies out there, i've tried all their lotions, some suck balls....some are great, but i won't carry ANY of them i don't care if they cost me 50cents a bottle as it looks like shit and will not go on my shelves.

This is why i carry MRI and Devoted Creations. Bottling is great.

If you don't have packettes, it will NOT go on the shelf. If i can't sell them a sample...then it's not going in my store. I'm not Ghetto Tans, so i ain't about to cup it out. Cups are gay!

I agree w/ Din...(as usual) If there are no packettes. I can't (won't) bother with it. And good looking bottles with lids that don't crack and break.
