Ok, so I put in the request prior to realizing that you had to have 100 posts (at the time I signed up) in order to get approved. I see now that it has even been lowered to 50 posts, which I still don't think that I have. I read a lot of information on this site, sometimes I question, sometimes I comment but I don't write down everytime I agree with someone or LOL at something that they just said as it does not always contribute to the discussion or question at hand. I am in partners with my mother. She works the salon during the daytime and I come in to the salon in the evenings to run it after I have finished my daytime fulltime paying position. We alternate weekends and I do a lot of cleaning and research while I am here. So, I guess that I will have to start posting more to get to my minimum of 50 (I think I am pretty close) but it is hard to do at times when there isn't anyone posting anything much either. So I guess, that once I hit my 50 posts that I will have to Re-Request to be allowed in to our secret club, am I correct? As for reaching me at the salon, it is alot easier to do in the evenings after 5:30 P.S.T. and my partner and I alternate weekends off. This weekend I am working!!

Michelle, there's gotta be something that you've contemplated or wondered and couldn't find it using the search feature. Start up some threads, ask some questions publicly, that'll get your post count up and give us a chance to get to know you a little better.

Kpowr,
Look at me, I'm posting again today! I have added to many threads and have actually started at least one on my own. I am working on it. I am very entertained when I get onto TanToday to say the least. Search button - Yah, I understand the concept, haven't really found anything I have ever looked for on it and I have actually gone into forums back a few years looking for misc. information. Like I said though, by the time I get here in the evening and am able to look at the website, no one is really on it for the most part. I have gone to the "other website" but can't post anything there because I signed up with them about 5 years ago (before I knew of this site) and can not for the life of me remember my sign in. I'm funny that way. Have to write everything down. I spend a lot of the time that I am here in just a few of the forums as with 22 years in the industry and almost 2 years as an actual owner, I am still learning and soaking up as much as I can. I have done a lot of trial and error with some of the ideas put in here for sales and such. Did an extensive research on different pricing structures before macking the switch to what I am doing today. Even with all of this time in the industry, I still find a lot of information that I wasn't aware of, misinformed about, forgot about and I hate looking and feeling stupid. ![]() |

Everyone here looks stupid at one point or another (some more often than others, lol). And if you post something stupid, believe me, you'll hear about it. BUT being a newbie most of us will take it easy on you at first.
Keep doing what you're doing then, you've only got 7 posts to go. FWIW, the 50 post requirement is allowing of peoples colors to really shine through ![]() |

Yah, I hear you there. I normally don't banter back and forth like this on any type of forum. It has been really slow today though. I have already completely dusted out my two bigger beds. I will probably do at least the 2 small beds today and then I will see if I will do the rest today or tomorrow. It's good for business for my clients to see me actually doing this chore. They tell me it gives them piece of mind to see me doing this and that we actually do what we tell them we do. I think I might start a new thread about something that I ran into yesterday doing a little bit of research. Maybe another one yet about a bed that I was questioning. Talk to you soon! (Almost to 50 - Whoo - Hoo!!)

Ok. OK. I guess I will have to get at the post thing. New to this though. I have owned my salon for 3 years and learned an actual boat load of info from Tan Today. But since I am the absolute quiet type, I haven't posted yet. But believe me I have wanted to!! I think it is terrfic to listen to all of you, even if you are just letting off steam. We need each other in this crazy biz. So happy posting to me!

I do not agree with the 100 post. I am a salon owner and feel like I should have earned it just becuase I am a salon Owner. I don't post much due to the fact that I don't just post to be posting. I love this site for info and don't have alot of time to post. Anyway this is just my Humble Opinion

been here since the beginning......boy have things changed. I haven't posted much the last couple years and I have had to change my username several times to log in.......I don't know why..... I'm just curious how many more meaningless posts I need to make. Not at all mad about the 50 posts thing but it seems rather childish. But all the laughs that I have had over the years will make it worth my while. thanks.

Actually it doesn't, went from 38 to 52 in about 2 days. If you're quiet like me it just takes awhile to come out of your shell. Once you do you'll have fun.
