I believe this was a fantastic idea.
If you don't contribute thoughts, ideas, and information.
Why do you feel that you should be included to sit and read the most important topics in the industry?

I agree to a point. For the people I see bitching with under 50 posts and 5 years on the site, I agree totally. But there are lots of new owners and new ideas and the peeps that signed up this month that have their threads moved to pro forum, it kinda sucks.

I am the biggest advocate of moving threads into the pro forum and I've requested it several times. It's just unfortunate that the newb who posted a good thread doesn't get to see how it plays out until they've got 50 posts

DUDE have you took your MEDS today? I think we should really look at WHO gets in, because somebody that just started posting the last couple of days to get to 50 posts, I think something is fishy with that. If someone has been on the site for over time it's one thing. I just don't trust newbies that we haven't been in conversations with or heard anything about them. They could be SPIES from the WHO........KP please take your MEDS

Spies from the WHO? Give me a break. Do you think you're gonna be able to get rid of spies? Are you kidding me right now. Like you said, the 50 post limit has been met by a guy in a couple days. What the hell is the point? How did you know it's been a while since I've had my MEDs? I'm getting unhealthy by the minute. Need a tan.

Just saying we have never heard of a couple of these people, and just think we should be more selective than 50 posts. I'm not Dr.SUN, but I established myself enough, that you know WHO and WHAT I'm about. WORD..

I see valid points on all sides, however, I am disappointed that it is set at 50 posts because I see people putting nonsense comments on topics to just raise the number of their posts. If I had the time to do so, sure, I could get my posts up to 50 in no time as well.

I would have much rather seen the requirement be about quality of posts - but who am I to say... I'm just a "lurker". When we purchased our salon, we had a very frustrating start but have stuck it out and been determined as ever and could not have done so with out "lurking" around alot of great discussions on here. Assuming that the lurkers are spies, useless, or not good business people is ridiculous. Does posting on a site, such as this, makes you that much better of a business person than the one who "lurks".

Call me a "lurker" all you want... I've simply been "listening"....

I too can say that I am a "lurker". I have been on this site quite a bit looking to see what other people have to say. Using some of the ideas that others have. But, I am a bit intimidated by all of you. The reason I am is because I feel there are a lot of smart remarks and a lot of things said that could make somebody feel stupid. I don't think all of that is necessary! It does make people like me not want to get on here and say anything, for fear of looking stupid. I am only here to learn and "listen"

Lurking should be a prerequisite of being on here IMO. See how things go and read, read, read, but ...if you don't want to look stupid, think about your posts, word them so people can understand and type with some sort of knowledge of how words are put together. Also, use spell check.
Proof read before you hit the post button and make sure you are getting your point across the way you think you mean it to sound. Does that make sense?
Yes, there are smart asses here, me as one of them, but you can get past that can't you?
Remember, it's your business, run it how you like, it doesn't matter to us...unless you devalue the product.

Now post, post, post. Maybe you have ideas none of us have ever thought of?
