I have owned my own salon for 3 years and have "lurked" learning from those who do make nice posts. Being new My opinions seem irrelevant to helping others since I really don't know the answers a "Pro" does. To get into the Pro Forum, read the recent article written only in that thread, I have to Post 50 times?

No it isn't hard to get involved in the forum, I just hate to make silly post's just so I can read State of the Industry report. I feel sorry for anyone who is going to be stuck reading my next 40+ posts. SORRY IN ADVANCED GUYS! Any self employed person with no patience will at least get it?

There really shouldn't be any minimum amount of posts required...just verification that the applicant is indeed an "owner."

So....what was decided as the requirements to get into this private forum?
I have applied several times and have yet to get in. I am a salon owner who is interested in exchanging ideas and supporting this great industry of ours. I do not have the time or energy to post 50 or more messages, just because. Also, there are so many ridiculous issues and arguments over trivial stuff that I don't have the patience to go through it all. I want a serious forum where we can discuss serious issues pertaining to this industry and help each other out with marketing, advertising, science and any thing else without intervention from the peanut gallery.  |

I am new to this site. I like the idea of having to qualify, however, I am too busy taking care of my clients to be on enough to have 100 posts. I signed up for the site to be able to discuss with other salon professinals about our industry. To be required to post 100 times seems a bit too much. Please consider reducing the amount of posts required.
