Yes, Northtanman - that was the goal. I had it listed as a turnkey, but the people who were interested in it couldn't come up with the $$. It was taking too long and we really just want to off-load it as quickly as possible.

Thanks for the compliment - I had big plans when I started it. I designed EVERYTHING. It was a "vanilla box" when I got the space. The property owners just gained ceramic tile floors and a 10 ton HVAC unit! lol

Fort Wayne... old homes, tree lined streets with sidewalks, picket fences.... quaint - and as you said not big-city decor types.

Just for fun - call up Brenda Fishbaugh from EyePro (in Ft Wayne somewhere)... and see if shey wants to branch out from just eyewear to owning a nice salon.

Well, it's not quite "quaint" lol ....and actually not that small - maybe 250,000 or so. This city is nothing but fat, lazy, cheap, coupon cutters. I hate to sound like such an ass - but it is what it is.

Brenda is just a couple of miles from the studio.

I make money in this town and just did a very modern build out on 6,000 sq/ft. There are many upscale cusomters here.

You were way to close the the low ballers in this city (NHT). You tried to change the perception by offering the first high class -nice equipment salon in that part of town.

I am truly sorry to hear about your closing.

Well, I don't know who you are, but I'm glad we got along great - lol So who are you anyway? lol I've got a letter that I'm sending out to all area salons, including those you mentioned.

Fort Wayne is not made for high end - that's just how it is. It truly is a community of coupon cutters. People like to haggle and try to "make deals". It's very conservative here. Churches, bars and restaurants.

I made money when I charged the bottom price for everything. It brings them in, yes.....but it also sucks up a lot of electricity. Like you, I should have just gone with the easy build out. Mine was about 80K.

With more advertising SS would have done well. We were just not willing to put anymore into it. Being Personal Trainer's we can go anywhere to work without being tied down. We're ready to leave Fort Wayne - the Carolina's maybe.

What facials do the elixers have? push in 400/500's or snap in 400's? or bigger? are they parabolics?

If you can, i need the measurement of the lower acrylic, how long, how wide is the surface. Comparing them to my Orbits. I might be able to add them as a level 3 compared to the orbits at 4....but some might like the elixirs better than the orbits...have to be careful. Orbits should be much larger and have 44 lamps and 4 - 1000 watt facials, while the elixir's have 36 lamps and 3 - 650 facials....It might work. Let me know...
