I saw the Tan America one in person. I think it has a very strong "marketability". It LOOKS like the real deal! Plus - I really liked the "packaging" for the gel - a "makeup kit" looking item you could have right out on the counter for point-of-purchase/impulse buys. As well as the digital picture frame thingy that you can have running to interest customers as they come in for tanning.

I didn't personally try it. But I know folks who have them and they report good success.

I didn't want to have 2 different systems at two different salons. But I would definitely consider the TA one if I was getting into it for the first time.

Tan America suggests 2 15 minute applications. Wheres charging 150-200 i would like to keep gel on peoples teeth for 1 hour in 3 20 min applications.

Not in the market anymore. I found out that all these teeth whitening units like beyond white can be bought from dental supply stores for 1000 bucks, where these companies try to charge 4999-7999.

This is the system I have in a salon. Excellent results and you don't have to be an aesthetic professional to administer the procedure because the client acutally puts the mouthpiece in their mouth.

The unit you say you can get for 1000.00 is the home kit which you really can get for about 150.00 dollars. It has a LED light. Its great for home but no where near the Beyond White which has a 400 watt light and you can really tell the difference. The brand new beyond white is around 3900.00. I have a used Natural White which is a private label Beyond White that we use for demos. I can let you have this one for 2900.00. Its almost new.

These dealers are ripping us off. I have also searched the dental suppliers. LAmps run $1500-$2000. Not $5,000.

That's true, the lights cost 1500 from Ultrabright. His gel systems are very reasonable, too. He has a great add-on product called a keep bright pen. There's another company I can highly recommend as well for the gel system, don't know about ordering the light from them. It's White Brilliance. I like his mouth guard and gel.
Let me know if I can help anyone get into this business. I don't sell anything, I'm just an operator.
