Default Beds for sale???

How do you know what a tanning bed is worth? I might be selling some of the beds I have and wanted to get an idea of how much to charge?

I really need help so PLEASE don't go through the whole thing about ETS beds not being worth anything...or their not worth more than a boat anchor!

2002 StarPower 548
2003 StarPower 548
2003 SunDome 448
2003 Solaris 442 w/facials
2003 SunStar (x2) w/facials

The 2002 StarPower has about 1500 hrs on it but all the others have a lot more hours on them (like 4K and 5K). They all run really well and I have never had a problem with any of them. The 2003 StarPower did just have some work on it but it works great now.

Again...PLEASE....just help...no heckling!

Thanks!

5 year old tanning beds are not worth much at all. ETS beds do not hold their value well. IF you could get 10-12K for the lot you should jump at it.

Thank you, I appreciate your feed back.

I was really hoping to get more than that though. Why do I see them for sale for more than that on here? I know their older but you can still buy the same exact beds right now for way more money than that. I don't think I could buy them for that?

Thanks again!

One thought...if you want to just get rid of them to upgrade and start making more monies is to list them on ebay and let them go for fair market value. its a huge audience out there on ebay. The market for beds seems to be flat on its face just like the housing market. Its a great market for Buyers, not sellers. Good luck.

You see a lot of beds for sale for more.......does not mean they sold for that!

If you find a local buyer who is looking for those beds maybe you can get a little more but this is a tough market at a tough time of year.

You are selling cuz you want out, right? Not to upgrade?

Sell and try to recover any losses and finish the divorce and be done so you can move on. Sorry.

I hear what you are saying and I appreciate your input, it's just that I owe more for this salon than it seems that I will be able to get out of it!

Unfortunately, that is how it normally happens. Unless you have been in business for a while and things got paid off. I hated selling off my equipment for less than half of what I paid for it. Luckily, it was all paid off, but still, would have been nice to get more cash for it all...

Good luck!
