Cool Salon For Sale Canada

Hi everyone! I've had my salon & spa for almost 2 years now and have decided to sell the business. I have a 2yr old and one on the way and don't think I can handle it all
I have 3beds, 1 standup, a tattoo/piercer, nail tech, esthetician, makeup artist, and an RMT. Its your complete tanning salon and spa etc etc... Great location, good rent, new beds, free parking, great client base, and room for expansion. We are east of Toronto. Anyone interested please let me know by e-mail shannon@mayantan.com

Couldn't be you are selling because a franchise opened up close to you could it?

Actually if you new the whole story, yes a franchise opened up close to me 2 months after I opened. Why would I wait 2 years later to sell if this was the case??? A serious thread was posted I would only expect a serious reply in return.

My guess would have to be that it took that long to realise that you aren't going to make it. Not that easy to walk away from a lease, bank loan and whatever else.

Not very nice that you would PM me and say I have something against motherhood. I may be a mother for all you know. I certainly didn't post anything to lead you to beleive I was against motherhood.
You also say I bad mouthed you. That is absolutely not true. There is no bad mouthing in my posts. All I wanted to do was to point out to some unsuspecting newbie that all may not be what it appears to be. If you have a booming and succesful business that's great, I'm proud of you.
I just happened to be looking for a tanning business in the area you are located at and without badmouthing you, I looked at your location from the outside and am not interested in looking further. Especially when I realised there was a pretty modern looking franchise just up the street from you.
I'm not prepared to play your PM games so don't PM me anymore. If you can't stand the heat get out of the fire.

You're right! You could be a mother for all know. I have been a long time "lurker" here and on tantalk, I didn't just arrive. All I'm saying is that I write a thread speaking the truth about a sale which 99% involves me trying to bring up my 2 kids and you unleash a reply which is totally saying other wise. As I said before yes there is a "modern" tanning salon 5min from me, but I am not only a tanning salon and therefore am not competing with them, and any one of my customers would tell anyone the same. I'm in an old house, which I guess you have seen, with everything in here from spa services to tattooing, and happens to include a few tanning beds. We are family run, which is completely different from the franchise. There, I said my peace.

There you go again, making things up. Look through the previous posts. I did not "unleash a reply saying totally otherwise." I did not even make comment, I asked a question, that is all I did. Perfectly reasonable question at that. Unless......oh well lets not get into that again.

Will,

I'm sorry to jump in on Mayan Tanners defence, but I think you need to re-read what YOU wrote. You did make a "comment".
"My guess would have to be that it took that long to realize that you aren't going to make it" is a comment. It's also your opinion.
But if Mayan Tanner wants to sell her business for whatever reason, you don't need to put her down for it or accuse her of selling for another reason that she is stating. You went and took a look at the "front" of her building and you didn't like what you seen. Did you even go and look inside and seen what is available and how she or her staff handle the business? Did you even go try out the services?

I think the lesson learned here is "don't judge a book by it's cover". If your not interested in her business that is for sale, then end it there and keep looking until you find that "perfect" salon for you, or even start up your own from scratch if you are so sure on how to run the perfect salon and business.

Suncountry, nicely said. This industry has enough negativity from outsiders, we surely dont need to be attacking each other.

If there are problems with the business its up to whomever is interested in buying that business to due their homework.

Good luck to all of you.

Actually the comment was an answer to Mayan Tan's question

You are all correct, of course. Mayan Tan, I apologize for being suspect in any way and I wish you good luck in the sale of your business.
