Default 250 max

I am just disappointed in how i have been handled with this machine-I have taken a few months off from complaining because no one listens or helps anyway-so im getting ready to start again-This is my issue-I am leasing the 250 max, from suncapsule-the installation was a horror show-took about 8 hours to install-(suncapsules people did the install),i am so mad i thought i had saved the email with all the complaints i had sent to them a week after the install-but i cannot find it on my computer-anyway there was about 10 issues-well the worst was -my employee i had her go in 1 week after the install-(20people or so had already been in there)well-it goes on and i hear her screamin,im like open the door-well she couldnt-I unlocked it from the outside and when i walked in to the dressing room-she was in the tanning part-the door with the lamps had fell off the bottom hinge-her and i shimied it open-I called suncapsule-left all scratches in machine floor, bent a little piece on the door-well the guy -(who was Very new-came down to fix it-
my lingering problem is this-30 minutes the lamps had on them and tops and bottoms were black-so now the machine has 140 hours on it all lamps black-7 starters have gone -called suncapsule told me to ship lamps so they could test them-lamps came back distroyed-fed ex responsible-so i called back suncapsule and told them-they told me come to find out theres nothing wrong with the lamps theres no need for me to send them out again-like i said this all happened a few months ago -i got so tried of the fight ,i stopped-but just changed the lamps ion one of my beds and it tans better than the lamps in this booth-Im just venting-and wish someone at cosmedico or suncapsule would have helped me out with this lamp situation,i have only and always bought cosmedico lamps-and all 3 booths are suncapsule-and also when i was in talks of getting the 250 max i was never aware that after i got it there would be the cyclone hp released ,,something i aslo think i should have been told--anyone have any suggestions etc, would be haelpful thanks

Overdriven lamps turn black immediately. That is just the nature of the beast. There is nothing you will be able to do about that. Black ends do not hinder performance. They turn black due to such high wattage which develops high heat at the lamp ends. All of these overdriven units will require lamp changes at around 200-250 hours. Nothing new. All high power units (beds and booths) are like this.

As for the door falling off, the Jacka$$es probably stripped out the mounting holes by overtightening and the screws just pulled out. Installer error.

Cyclone HP is private label Tan America HP standup.

Installers sucked indeed. Suncapsule has very good installer i think named Bill or Mike. Mine was installed by Jason - no complaints.

So you say it doesn't tan?
A. Buy a 5.0 meter, actually 5.0 and 7.0. $250 well spent. Your 7.0 meter should be showing 34 Meds while holding it with sensor pointing towards lamps in the middle of the booth.
B. Buy voltmeter in Home Cheapo.
C. Pull out the plug from side of the door in the stand up a little. Start the unit. Check voltage between flat prongs while unit is running. In order for it to tan within 7 minutes the voltage on the prongs should be 240-245 volts. Usual buckbooster is +32. Supersonic buckbooster is +38. So your buckbooster is +38 or higher - it must be wired to the maximum add on voltage.
PS. Black end mean nothing.
Good luck.

unlike the 220 models they have been recommending the 250max only be wired to have 230-235 volts. (they used to recommend 240 to 245 on the 220models). So we wired ours to run at 232 or so. Doesnt tan as well as our supersonics do so going to be jacking up to 240.

Heck with their recommendations. They all wrong. The only way to make it 4 Meds in 7 minutes is 240-245 volts. 208 off the panel + 38v buck booster is 246v minus 5 volt drop when you turn the unit on equals 241v. Right about there.

Okay...so you dont' have complaints about the tan. You are complaining about the lamps being black? And the door coming off.

Yup...refer to Brian's post.

Black ends don't mean jack like Brian Said.

LSI puts a shield around the filament to lessen the black but it is purely cosmetic and the higher the wattage , the faster the black.
But you just use your meter to know when to change lamps..YOU DON"T JUST VISUALLY INSPECT THEM...that would be insane and amaturish.

Usually in all my beds and booths -super cyclone, tanses vhr bed the lamps do not start getting black end till 200 hours, all i was saying is i thought 35 minutes on the lamps were a little quick for this to already be happening,i know it has nothing to do with performance of lamps it just looks funny ,whenever a customer has something to say about it i just tell them its from the lamps firing up-like i said i just thought 35 minutes was a little quick
