TanToday was voted the Best Online Forum. Vince Lorraine, owner of the Island Sun Times, told me that this year they had so many votes online and hardly any mail in ballots. Obviously the online forums helped push this voter turnout to amazing heights. Votes for TanToday came pouring in. The other award winners will be officially announced in the Island Sun Times ITA Show Wrap Up edition.

Congrats to all that voted and thanks for continuing to make TanToday the Premiere Online Community for Tanning Salon Owners. This trophy was earned by all of you.

Hopefully you didn't 'stuff the ballot box' but it doesn't matter. This IS the best forum. If you can bring back some of the old-timers like UV-PAul and more Robbie and maybe even Sheila, and Undercover Angel, it would be just like the good old days. And let Engfant back in. He's the one we love to hate!

All I agree with everything you said except for the mention of Sheila and the stuffing the ballot box. Salon owners could only vote ONCE and the accounting firm that handling voting said the margin of error was around 3-4%. Given that we stomped the next nearest vote getter there was no sign of irregularities.

But you are right, we are The Best Forum. Its people like you that make this place the one to visit.

Great posts, keep them up. It should come as no surprise that I cannot stand Neon, Teresa or Sheila. Sure I busted their balls. God knows they deserved it.

Neon AKA John Walsh is the # 1 poster on that site because his salon sucks so bad. Use your search feature and give me 1 good idea he has given any salon owner on how to better their salon?

There was a time to be cordial towards them but that time is over with. Now since their site is down you come over here to spit our garbage like you got a clue. Listen, I will make this easy - those people are not there to help this industry. They are there to continue mindless threads that result in more banner clicks for their Crest Whitestrips and Lotion Diversion ads. Obviously he doesn't care about this industry. For the past 2 years TanToday has been bringing salon owners togther to help centralize the information for owners to better their salons and make more profits. While other sites are thinking about hawking this unproven product or that unproven product we have been steadily promoting the indoor tanning industry by combining content with creativity. Say what you want. Maybe me busting some balls was unprofessional but I had fun, let off some steam and feel better now by doing it. I am not going to apologize for it. The bottom line is we won the IST Award because of 4,500+ salon owners who decided to call TanToday home and no one will ever take that away from our amazing members. This site isn't about me. It isn't about you. Its about the community and this community is thriving and growing at a record pace.

Brooke, that name was changed a long time ago by the Humor Gestapo. I guess they like the idea of toying with me. John Holmes was not the name I ever signed up with. Sort of like the images they gave me as an avatar and the comments they rewrote recently. If changing peoples words around is cool then call me uncool because it will not ever happen here. Yet another reason why I cannot stand the people that are part of the problem over there. But it's all good, if it was not for that site Neon would have killed himself a long time ago.

Personally, I like my name. I would have registered and used it but ~hellloooo~ I DIDN't. I prefer anonymity, at least on-line -- you never know who might reach out and touch you.

Why do you think you are not on a first name basis with more members of your community? Is this of concern to you? If not why?

I am happy to be able to make my small contribution to your success. Quality is all about content, both news and commentary. News about the indoor tanning industry is posted here first. Knowledgeable industry professionals opine here.

TanToday, the most important discussion forum for the indoor tanning industry under Bruce's leadership has regained it's preeminent position under your leadership.

Getting to #1 is an admirable achievement. Staying #1 is your challenge.

The others sites may try harder but, at the end of the day, the preeminent position is your's to lose.

What I find amazing is that the other sites are using our posts and photos as their Nashville scoops. Now that is funny! When your major topics are stolen from other sites you might as well pack it in and turn the lights out. I really outta look into doing one of those RSS feeds so the other sites can tap into this tremendous industry resource we like to call TanToday. They are already stealing the photos and threads, they might as well use everything.
